Anant Ki Khoj – By Dr. Rajeev Mohan Kaushik
Anant Ki Khoj is the Hindi version of the book The Midnight Awakening published by Rupa & Co, New Delhi in 2008. It is not a work of fiction. It is the story of a physician who has experienced the spontaneous awakening of the ‘kundalini’ or the primal energy within him after ‘Sahaja’ yoga meditation. The sudden uncoiling of this vast reservoir of spiritual energy takes him through a spine-chilling and awe-inspiring experience which is unknown to the horizons of the medical field. After this experience, he feels motivated to explore further the spiritual basis of life. He embarks on a meditative journey trying to delve deeper into the unknown depths of consciousness. With steadfast perseverance and dedicated application, he probes the mysteries of supernatural powers.

In this book, the author has analyzed his experiences with the precision of a scientist. A critical analysis of the conclusions drawn by him while experimenting with various powers like hypnotism, extrasensory perception, energy transfer and distant healing has been made in a candid manner. An attempt has been made to correlate the current medical knowledge of the human body and the yogic anatomy which enables the readers to understand the possible mechanisms of the various yogic phenomena experienced by the author.

To those who wish to introduce themselves to the mysteries of life, this book will prove to be a valuable guide. To the advanced student, it will intrigue, challenge, help and guide him in his inner journey from the self to beyond the self.

This book is also about the relationship between life here, before and hereafter; the why and how of life, existence and God. This book sincerely attempts to seek answers that will surely help in organizing one’s life in a manner that would lead to a better understanding of this universe and man’s place in it.

Kundalini – Stilled or Stirred? Swami Veda Bharati
Tantra, an exposition of śrī-vidyā, is a thread of Vedic tantu. This ray of the light of consciousness folds about itself as a coil (kuṇḍala), forming the coiled energies of the conscious universe, thus becoming kuṇḍalinī.

This book looks at Tantra from a different perspective against the common view of it being more associated with its carnal/sexual nature. Tantra is the art of “celibacy”. Human beings are a wave in the ocean of Consciousness, and this wave passes through our psycho-physiological complex compound, forming the personal kuṇḍalinī.  All sensations in the human body are manifestations of the presence of kuṇḍalinī.  Our desires are the signals released by the kuṇḍalinī. Different psycho-physical apparatuses are plugged into it like electrical plugs in different sockets.
